About the book
Synopsis
Hybrid molecular imaging — PET/CT and SPECT/CT — has quietly become routine, and with it has come a largely unanticipated growth in incidental findings: tracer uptake or anatomic abnormalities that fall outside the question a scan was ordered to answer, yet may change a patient’s care. The literature on them is extensive but fragmented across organ-specific guidelines, tracer-specific reviews, and reporting frameworks such as TI-RADS, LI-RADS, O-RADS, and Lung-RADS.
Anatomolecular Imaging of Incidentalomas: A Multidisciplinary Reference fills that gap. It brings organ-system thinking, tracer pharmacology, quantitative epidemiology, structured reporting, and multidisciplinary workflow into one unified operational framework — addressing both the imaging physician and the wider clinical team, and treating the management of incidental findings as a coherent discipline rather than a collection of isolated, case-by-case decisions.
